The Buddha was born in what is now North India and was the son of a king called Suddhudana who ruled the Shakya tribe. Before his birth, his mother, Maha Maya dreamt that a white elephant descended from the sky and entered her right side. It was the custom at the time for a couple to return to their mother's kingdom to give birth. During the trip the Buddha was born in Lumbini, which is modern day nepal. Many accounts say that his mother died during childbirth and that he was brought up by an aunt Maha Pajapate.

Back at the palace, his father consulted eight seers/fortune tellers. They all gave the same prophesy. That either the Buddha would be a 'universal monarch' (great ruler) or would be overcome with compassion for the suffering in the world and thus become a great holy person. Of the eight, only one gave the prediction that he would definitely become a great holy person. He would be referred to as "The Buddha" which means awake one, after his enlightenment, but at this point in his childhood, he was called Sidartha Gotoma.

His father didn't want his son to be a holy man, and so protected his son from seeing suffering by keeping him inside the palace and surrounding him with luxury. It worked long enough for Sidartha to grow up and marry a woman called Yodudhara and have a son which he named Rahula, which means 'bond'.

Eventually, the prince felt too stifled by living in the palace and insisted on going outside. His father was worried, but consented, allowing him to go in a covered coach. But the Buddha, who had never seen suffering, peeked out and saw what are refered to as 'The Four Heavenly Messengers'. That was, a sick person, an old person, a dead person and a holy man. The driver of the chariot answered the prince each time he asked what he was seeing.

That evening, the prince was upset by having seen suffering, and so the king put on a dancing show to distract his sons mind. But the prince woke up and saw the dancers asleep, covered in sweat and snoring with their make-up running over their face. He realised that suffering was a part of life and that he wanted to be a holy man. He got the chariot driver, Channa, to take him out to the forest where he swapped his fine clothes with a beggar, and walked looking for the answer to human suffering.

He ended up studying Hinduism and Yoga with two teachers, Alara Kolama and Udaka Ramaputta, and became so accomplished at Yoga that there was no more he could learn, but he still wasn't enlightened, so he became a homeless wanderer with five companions.

After a long period of austerities and burning and starving himself, he wandered off alone into the forest. He only ate one grain of rice a day and soon collapsed into a ditch from malnourishment. A milk-maid called Sujata mistook him for a forest spirit who had granted her a wish and so she nursed him back to health. While he was recovering, he heard a man go by on a boat, the man was teaching his son to play a stringed musical instrument, explaining that to get a good sound, the string mustn't be too tight or too loose, and the aesthetik realised that living to extremes wasn't a spiritual path.

So, when well enough, he sat under a tree and vowed not to move until he had found the last answer that ended human suffering. Mara, the God of illusion, heard of this and sent his three daughters to tempt him, but it didn't work. The aesthetic continued to concentrate on finding the answer to human suffering. After forty-nine days aged thirty five he finally broke through and became enlightened... sitting under a tree in Bodhgaya, central India.

He stayed and enjoyed the bliss of Nirvana for a while, then decided there was too much suffering and ignorance in the world for people to be able to understand what he had found, so was about to wonder off into the forest forever, but the Gods appeared and told him there were people who would understand and begged him to return to the world and teach, which he did.

He wondered back and found his five former companions. Initially they mocked him because he was well-fed, but soon saw that he had found the answer. In Sarnarth, near where he had found freedom, he gave his first sermon to the five aesthetics, which is known as the 'Setting the Wheel in Motion' sermon.

This sermon gives the four noble truths, that all life is unsatisfactory, suffering is caused by craving, craving has an end/is impermanent like anything else, because it has an end at all it can be ended forever and there's a definite path that does so.

Then the path is described as an eight-fold path, a series of guides of how to conduct one's mind, body and life in a way that will end craving and so end suffering.

Listening to the discourse, Kodanna found Nirvana such was the Buddha's wisdom. Soon all the aesthetics were enlightened. In two months, they had been joined by sixty more people who found Nirvana and were known as Arahants.

The Buddha spent four months in Varinessi during the rainy season, then went to see a king he had earlier promised to see.

There were three seasons at Bamboo Grove. His father sent a delegation to bring his son back, but they all converted upon hearing the Buddha and were soon enlightened. This happened another eight times with another eight delegations, all of whom forgot the message they were carrying. The ninth was led my a man called Katudayi, who also found Nirvana but remembered to pass on the message from the king that the Buddha was to return home.

Two years after finding enlightenment, he went home. Most of the royal court converted to Buddhism and the woman who brought him up became the first female nun.

There was briefly a schism when a rebel monk tried to kill the Buddha three times but failed.

The Buddha taught his message of freedom and simplicity over the plains of India for 45 years.

He died, reportedly after eating bad pork and or mushrooms. As he was carried to his funeral pyre, the chief disciple asked him to sum up the teachings of Buddhism. The Buddha said; 'There's nothing worth holding'.

Self and Manifesting Kilesas

This is a map showing the three main delusions of Buddhism, greed, hate and delusion. The idea of the diagram is, after a long time observing the mind, it's possible to see many repeating varitions in thoughts and daydreams, on the same themes. So the self exists in the centre of the diagram. The are various fantasies in the mind, they are bason on aversion to something that happened in the past, or a desire for something to happen in the future etc.

There are some examples from an observation of my own mind. At the bottom left, it says 'school, starving and psychopath'. I've noticed there's a mental sequence that often plays, seemingly without my volition, in my mind, and it's about people, 'teachers and educators', being sadistic to me, cruel and hurtful (something that happened daily) and the fantasy continues (usually without my awareness at that point) to myself being at the same age and having decided not to eat anymore, I'm starving to death and free of the torment.

There's also a rarer fantasy, of myself at that age being diagnosed as having a psychopathic illness. I don't, incidentally! I don't even eat meat for pacifist reasons. But in the daydream, I've been diagnosed as dangerous, and the people around me are fearful and stay away from me.
So these two habitual fantasies, are based on aversion to the past.

But there's another daydream which starts often, which is being falsely accused of things I haven't done, usually by policemen, and going through the criminal justice system.
The word 'injustice' has been highlighted, because this is something that runs through all of them. In my past, there was this sadism and cruelty to me, and I've obviously carried it and now if fires avoidant type daydreams concerning my past and projections of the same basic emotion of pain I don't deserve as an aversion to a possible future.

The emotion this mindlessness causes fuels energy to the self which weaves the story of my past and future around itself and projects expectations onto other people and the future itself.
The idea of the diagram itself was to try and make some sense of the insight one gains into the self after an established mindfulness practice bears some fruit. Possibly the patterns that emerge can be linked to the life situation that one has created.

Although presently, I'm not sure this is a great idea. One has to bear in mind that the idea is to extinguish the self and be free of suffering, to pay to much attention to the mechanisms of self might in itself give it too much energy, and I'd be 'discovering myself with psychology' rather than 'freeing myself with Nirvana', thus it's not a practice I've continued.

Present Moment Magic

A map showing how staying in the moment, rather than focusing on desires in the future or lack in the past, increases presence and assists manifestation of positive desires.

I made this map when I was getting ready to leave London on the long trip. There were a lot of things I needed to finish because it wouldn't be possible once in Asia. I made a huge 'to do' list and it made me feel really overwhelmed, but then I thought, I'll make a map of what I want to get done. When I saw it laid out graphically, I could see how the various parts related, and although I still had the same amount of work to do, somehow it all felt more managable.

I think this is a really good tip. Rather than have 'to do' lists, try, 'to do maps' as, for some vague reason I can't quite put my finger on, it makes everything seem easier.

The things on the map are in a personal shorthand, which I think is the way that most people take notes or make 'to do' lists, but I think you can get the gist of it.

Magic Sensation Map

I made this map well over a year ago. It shows my idea for a new sensation-way of practising/manifesting magic. It's quite involved but I'll try and explain how I drew it.

At the top left there are two little figures with 'sensation map' written by them, and dots over the figures. This is based on my observations that:

• The energy that manifests magic is the energy of emotion


• The energy that prevents manifestation is the energy of emotions


• The energy that creates our past and future is the energy of emotions


• The energy that creates positive manifestations in the future is positive belief and expectation


• The energy that creates negative manifestations in the future is negative belief and negative expectation


• All emotions have a corresponding energy


• The emotions felt in our body in any moment are experienced in physical sensations

Therefore, the system of magic I came up with involved making two human figure diagrams, one positive and one negative. While practicing magic, positive expectations (and thus karma/the future) were noted on the positive diagram, and the energy moved from the body to the diagram. The same was done with any spontaneous negative emotions/expectation. My system also made use of a 'storage system', basically, a small bottle of water carried permanently, to move negative sensation/emotion into moment-to-moment when it was noted.

The practice was, the sensation maps were used daily, the water transference constantly (whenever the negative sensation was noted). After one moon cycle (well, half actually), i.e. new to full moon, then the energy was released and grounded respectively, the negative by burying and the positive by burning.

The bottom left part of the diagram shows the idea was also to keep moment-to-moment consciousness in the present motion by focusing the the pure sensations.

Bottom right, the modalities part shows what to do with negative memories/thoughts, i.e. locate where they seem to be in consciouness/the body and transfer the energy to the water/away from the body. The mental pictures can be lessened by making them smaller or darker in consciousness. The 'ten possibilities' part means, once the negativity has passed, the practice was to dwell on, or come up with, at least ten positive possibilities contrary to the proceeding negativity, to reorientate the mind to positive/negative energy/sensations for later transference to the map.

Top right of the diagram shows the ethics of the system, i.e. make sure that magical goals/intentions have Nirvana/end of suffering as an ultimate goal and are within the precepts.

Yes, this was a very involved practice, and I'm practicing a much simplified and improved system now. All I can say is, it worked for me. I'm sitting here typing this in the situation I hoped to create. Watch this space for further additions/explanations/instructions on my method.

Mercury Map Desires

I thought it would be a good idea to have all magical intentions classified according to the planetary system, and then make a seperate mind map for each planet. The map itself becomes a focus for direct energy raised during practice.

      Transferring 8 mm footage to a computer for editing
      

      Because Video8 and Hi8 are analog video formats, transferring either to computer requires digitization. One method is to feed the video signal to an analog capture card connected to the computer itself.

      
      

      Another option involves the use of a pass-through adapter which outputs a digitized video signal in the industry standard DV format. Many consumer-level miniDV and Digital8 camcorders have this facility built-in. The DV signal can then be fed into a computer equipped with a firewire port.

      
      

      A third route is to find a Digital8 camcorder which supports legacy playback of Video8 and Hi8, and which will output a digitized DV signal directly via its firewire port. This will usually yield an improved image quality compared to the previously mentioned methods, and can offer the advantage of direct computer control over the tape transport, which is difficult (may require extra hardware) or impossible for the bridge method mentioned above.

Still here. I've been working on the 'plan', i.e. exactly what I'm doing and what's happening. I actually call it the Dharma Willing Plan, and I think I should perhaps publish it?

No real news. I got lost a few times. Once I gave up looking for the hotel and got in a taxi, and then realised that I had got in the taxi just outside the hotel itself (doh!).

I yearn and yearn and yearn. I spent quite a bit of time worrying how my love-chest it, imagining it all turned to powder in the cupboard. I remember when travelling, I left a load of books which were supposed to be safe in the cupboard. I even asked about them over the years as they were worth a fair bit (rare). Always I was assured it was fine. Of course, it's A we're talking about. I got back and it was all ruined with mildue in the garage. Oh god, if some higher power can just keep it all safe until I get back, then I'll give it all to J and be done with it once and for all. Everything I own gone, and I can feel empty and never scared (no fear is better than regret).

I asked about a ticket to Dali today. Cheaper than I thought, but I don't know, because it's going to be cold, plus it's just over a week to spring festival when all the prices will go up for a week. I don't know what to do.

My cold changed. It's not painful as it was and has turned into a general bunged up and tired kind of normal cold.

I asked the I Ching what to do. It thinks I should hang here. It's aimless though. I'm on severe rations of St. Johns Wort... and am feeling that I think. Perhaps that's because I am able to get less done here, plus it's harder to do my walking meditation, and I think more than these things, I really, really, really don't want to go back to England. The coins are there, so I have no choice, but there you go. The thought of it is really getting me down.

Ugh.

I'm going to eat now.

I hate Chinese cybercafes, sometimes. Though they're good too. They're usually huge places full of people chain smoking. You pay a deposit in advance and get the refund when you check out. Of course, that system is wide-open to abuse. You can go to a place a few times and it's fine, then a different member of staff just decides to overcharge you and you've paid in advance. That's exactly what happened yesterday. I went to a place recommended on the message boards; not really aimed at foreigners, but it was OK there for a few days, but yesterday, a different woman just decided to keep all of my change. That was it, nothing I can do.

But it sent me on a real downer. It was almost interesting to watch the downwards spiral of my consciousness; it's always cybercafes and technical issues that get me down in China. I do feel bad, on a day to day basis, when I don't get a fair amount of work done.

I went overdrawn at the bank. I traced it back to an atm withdrawel in Thailand that took a week to show up in the account. I asked at the message boards about it.

I am looking into which courses I could do at the OU. It's not so much I want but more which ones fit in. I asked yesterday for the timetable for a science course, to see if it would fit in with Jukai. I also asked at the travel message boards about my bank charges for the overdrawing, and I emailed Sara to see if she can get me a cheaper ticket. I'm about to check all the replies. Back in a mo.

1 No2 Maybe depends what they do3 No idea but Nationwide is a brilliant bank and I think that Flex accounts allow a certain amount of unauthorized overdraft. Why not look up their website and see what the rules say. Then drop a note on the message system asking what if any charges you will have occurred and, of course, agreed to when you signed up.
You will probably notice that with Nationwide you have no ATM charges, you will get the best exchange rates of any bank that I know and their charges are generally modest both on ATMs and Credit cards.. Why are you angry when you took their money without their agreement.

That's one way to look at it. Then again, the system could easily be set up like in the good old days, where amounts are declined if you don't have enough and you just request less.

I think the monastery wrote back, but I haven't looked at it yet.

I went to see Sara yesterday. Her quoted price was more than the airline office, but also she warned me about the weather. I looked and there are stories about snow all over china right now. I'm fairy far south at the minute, but I really don't think I'd enjoy it. Not sure what to do but the oracle told me to stay here for a bit and I think it might be a better idea for me to do that.

I've been looking into going to a dentist. There's nothing wrong... I just dropped out of life for well over a decade and it might be a good idea. It's not free in the UK now and so it might be better for me to see someone in Asia. Knowledge is power of course, and so I'm going to research dentistry itself, and write a simple overview on the travel section of my website.

Less than a week to the new moon which will be Chinese new year. Of course, this diary must become a book then. But I'm working daily on my plan, and I think if I actually publish that on my website on that day also, and start another diary page.

That's it basically. I'm going to work on the plan (again). I'll write perhaps later with what the monastery said.

They're celebrating Chinese New year outside... though the new moon is actually at about a quarter to twelve tonight. I'm going to be at my shrine, doing the I Ching. New year here is actually a week long festival. I start a new diary tomorrow. Also, I've been working on the plan, so I'll publish that as the appendix, together with the homeopathy according to the symptoms I've had this year, or shall I say 'changes in vibrational picture' and a record of all the I Ching questions I've asked.

Overall, it was a good year. Last year, when the pig year started, I'd booked to go to London, then was too tired and remember being happy that I hadn't. Looking back, they were awful days, but I was just waiting for the money. What to do? Now I'm here, and it really is an awful, awful lot better. I'm grateful for the way things have worked out. Yes, this too will pass, but I'm going in the right direction while the wind is in the sails.

Oh, nearly forgot.

I was at a dentists and looking at my teeth, and they weren't as bad as I'd feared.

Well, I'll wrap it up, bar the appendix (I don't know how to write the plural of appendix) as I have so much to post and get done. The pig was 'my' year, as I am one (yeah... J too though) and I met her in a pig year. I recall on the day of the celebration in London last year, I had the Strawberry dream, so let's see what I dream over the coming days.

Health and Homeopathic Casetaking 2007/08

 

I've been into homeopathy for over a decade now. I like it because (I think) it works, but also you can be self-reliant. You don't have to rely on someone else's education, intuition or intelligence, as the information is understandable and the remedies without prescription.

 

Of course, I can't just go and see someone or even prescribe according to accepted decorum; I've devised my own method of case-taking and scoring remedies. Under this system, I've taken the same remedy (calc-c) for over a decade. But I record new symptoms and check if there's been a change in the vibrational system every now and again. Though I seem to have subconsciously decided that this is something I do every year now, dharma willing I stay!

 

To be honest, the following record, of the symptoms I had this year, together with my case-taking is going to be of very limited interest, but I am including it for the purpose of archival safety and completeness.

 

This is a record I kept for the year ending 07/08 (Chinese New Year) of symptoms I noted, or changes to existing symtoms.

 

Following this the symptoms were scored in the reperetory, then sorted for comparison. The highest scoring remedies will be scored according to my own system, and a possible new remedy started.

Very rough picture of the 'letting go' mandala, my current practice and future writing, based on chakras, letting go and magic.

The Leaving Finchley Plan

I drew this in London, trapped with no ticket out, but the money on its way, thinking of ways forward. I was a bit lost after Mother's death. I didn't know exactly where I would go or what I would do, I just knew that England never was and never will be a part of my life.
And so I just drew this up to get the possibilities clear in my mind.

Kilesas

How the three root kilesas of greed hate and delusion conspire to hold us back. Inside is the suffering in our closed heart, and that is denied with delusion, and there's delusion within about what we can do about that pain, and so we project greed, based on denying the fact of impermanence, into the world, and have aversion to things in the world, based on the delusion that a self exists seperately from things it perceives.

Spells, Magic, Karma and Intention

This sketch shows the different components involved in a 'spell' in western magical beliefs/new age theories. I think it ties in to the first line of the Dharmapada and Buddhist ideas of Karma and intention. How exactly it ties in I don't know... but I'm starting to get ideas about it.

Buddhist Hindrences to Meditation

A fairly self-explanatory diagram of the five Buddhist hindrences to meditation.

Healing Repeating Thoughts

This starts top right, as a person begins meditation. Soon thoughts and feelings arise and break concentration. These are mundane thoughts, for example something that was on TV or a minor worry. But usually each of these thoughts would become a thought-CHAIN because you give each one energy and allow it progress into another.

However, because you're meditating, you don't do that. You merely observe each thought, without pushing or pulling; just allowing, and allow it to fade (it will; it's impermanent like everything else).

Dropping down in the diagram, a little concentration is established, and in the peace of the mind, without the usual pushing resistance or mental noise, all the repressed thoughts, secret agendas, forgotten hurts and future fears arise from deep in the mind. Again, allowing not pushing, each one comes and goes according to it's impermanent nature. Finally, there's some peace in the mind.

As you take reign of the mind, you can choose what to give energy to, such as following the precepts and making life simpler, rather that just letting the mind do all it can to weave a story around the pain it's hiding.

Freeing Feelings from Ego Story

I made this a very long time ago and can't remember exactly what I was thinking when I drew it. I'll explain it retrospectively as best I can.

It starts at top left number one. We have our feelings in our heart in the centre, and our feelings can make us feel vunerable or unsafe, so we make up a lot of story about identity and sour grapes pretending we don't want what we do or things didn't hurt us that did or how other people did this or that to us; basically any diversion for us to focus on, any complicated story, so that we can focus on that rather than the pain in our vunerable hearts.

Over to top left, number two. We give up the story and just admit, yes, I worry no one will like me, it hurts when I'm rejected, I feel stupid when people laugh at me, it seems other people are better than me. So there's just pain, sadness, as sensation in out bodies and mind, and we live with it, but can still have best wishes or positive thinking for ourselves.

Down to bottom left, number three. Once we let go of our stories and feel our pain, we can see the pain behind other people's stories and can become more compassionate and practice loving kindness.

Bottom right, we hopefully, become free, happy and open.

Fire Pig 2007 Intentions

I remember sitting in BHS restaurant making this, very aware I have finite resources, and deciding that this was the intention for the trip I was about to take. How strange that by coincidence that I post and destroy it today, as I made it last Chinese new year.

I've done all those things, though strictly didn't volunteer as I thought. I have voluntered my help and time via the Internet. I a healing experience concerning a decade long romantic obsession, I've certainly studied. I suppose I just wanted to reassure myself that I wasn't just traveling about without purpose.

My Dharma Willing Plan to 2009

I made this sitting in Llyods bar with a tomato juice, just after I'd bought my ticket to Hong Kong to start traveling. I wanted to lay out the possibilities and have a picture of where I was (and am) going rather than just meander wasting my resourses.

I'm still, generally, on course.

Dharma Friends Possibilities

This is to do with my romantic obsession. I can't get my mind of one person, so I tried to work out what it is about her that hypnotises me, and then listed it with the idea of stopping the idealisation of her and opening to possibilities of meeting new people with those qualities rather than being attached to only one person.

Concentration

I don't remember where I read it, but there was a description of developing concentration in meditation, which described it as 'becoming like a cat intently watching some prey... ready to pounce at any moment'. That really resonated with me... and that's kind of how it is.

You are on breath, concentrating on breath I mean, and each period of concentration is just a few seconds until you're off thinking about something else. But then you become like that intent cat... or cat full of intent. You make a resolution that you WILL do it, and energy and presence comes forth, and you're watching yourself watching yourself watching yourself, just waiting for the slight wavering of resolve or the first little glimmer of a thought. What you are actually doing is letting go of absolutely everything other than being here and breathing right here and now, with full energy, and that is meditation; and meditation is that, and nothing else at all.

I don't particularly like the sketch. If I was a better artist, I would have made a cat staring intently at itself in a mirror? So, I'm not sure how I'll redraw it digitally to convey what I was trying to say... but I love a challenge sometimes.

Core Buddhist Principles (unfinished)

The idea of this picture was to convey the principles of Buddhism via the main lists, in a single pictures... though it's ended up a little cluttered to be worth actually finishing. It's still a good idea though; I'm not giving up yet!

Intention to Develop Certain Qualities

An unfinished picture. The idea was to draw up something inspirational which listed the qualities I would like to develop in myself. I think actually being aware of what you lack of could do more of is helpful for your focus and possibly merit-making.

Holding on and Letting Go

In these pictures, I was trying to convey my observation of the difference in consciousness when I'm practicing letting go and non-grasping of my thoughts, as opposed to the usual 'hold and fuel' policy that the mind seems to delight in during the default mode of creating suffereing.

Yoga Nidra

This is a picture trying to convey a sinking experience, both in body and mind, which can be felt very strongly during progressive relaxation, trance induction and Yoga Nidra (the latter being deep states of relaxation based on rotating awareness in a fast and rymthic manner around the whole body).

Non Locational Consciousness

These two pictures are based on my personal experience of meditation. Sometimes, when meditating, I try and locate my consciousness; exactly where consciousness is in relation to my body. It seems centred around the eyes, but that's because they have the strongest sense input. But when I concentrate, the sense of where 'I' am changes, it can be in more than one place. If I'm in physical pain, it can go to the location of the pain, as well as being around my eyes inside my skull. The longer I look it can also be outside my skull, away from my body.

I've heard that when a person with the Deva Eye (clairvoyance) watches a human consciousness in the mental world, it's like a swarm of fireflies flying around. Not having one definite location, but swarming around mental objects as it thinks about different things.

This is the first picture I drew in the book. I remember meditating in St. James Church in Picadilly London and conceiving it as I tried to explain the perception of my consciousness filling a whole church. Then I drew it up over a soda water in a pub in Finchley.

I made the digital graphic in Thailand, and here I am in China writing it up! I'm still not happy with it, but it's in the ballpark for now.

Happy Chinese Year of the Rat!

Date: 7th Febuary 2008 Happy Chinese New Year!

I'm actually in China for the year of the rat. I'm sitting in Jinghong, South West China, with firecrackers exploding outside, and everyone in festive mood.

I've decided to post some pictures from my notebook today. I often understand new information and order my ideas as diagrams, pictures and mindmaps. I've been carrying my current sketchbook for well over a year, and I've made a little headway in transfering these pictures to my website via the Gimp. These pictures will appear in the two books I'm currently working on. I'm posting them as they are, some half finished, some only rough, as they're still useful.

Some of the pictures are based on my own experience of spirituality, experiences which were better shown as pictures rather than try and explain them. Others are based on own idea and speculations about magic, life and meaning, and many explain the fundementals of Buddhism in a graphical way (or at least try to).

Concerning this first one...

Much of Buddhism was explained in the form of lists. This probably had two benefits. One, because the teachings weren't written down until a long time after the Buddha's passing, it meant that the practice could be handed down as an oral practice.

But also there is some benefit in remembering the lists. For example, to have memorised the five hindrences to concentration means they're easily recognised when they arise, and aren't complicated by making them more than they are. Rather than getting caught up in, oh, I'm so tired, all my body is falling asleep, or, I can't meditate, what if I've left the oven on, what are my children up to etc etc etc, it can be simply labeled 'sloth' and 'restlessness' and then let go of an concentration returned to.

These lists are some of the lesser known ones rather than the core lists, but still helpful to know/reflect on.

I'm not wholly happy with the standard of artwork, but I'm just learning so it will do for now, just so I can archive it and throw away my notebook.
